OCTOBER FUN!
The kids are all ready for the Fall season.  We brainstormed things we like to do in the Fall and made Fall trees.  Through art, we cut and tear paper and the children learn about geometry, positional words, following directions and fractions. These types of projects lends itself to every academic area of the curriculum. You'll see more projects like this throughout the year.
Check out our books and boats we made for Columbus Day!

Here we are working on number concepts through our math games, Grab and Count and Roll and Record.
We designed our pumpkins and then counted the shapes we used. Aren't they cute??
Mr. Riccardulli came in to discuss fire safety with the children. He showed us his equipment and demonstrated the firemen's hold. Thanks Mr. Riccardulli !
Here we are working with our phonemic awareness trays.  Through games, we are sorting pictures by syllables, matching lowercase letters with capital letters and working on our rhyming skills.
We had a great time at our Halloween party and parade. Thanks to everyone that helped out!
We made witches for Halloween!
We had a great time on our parade around school.  Look out...
here comes Mr. Wells!
We  read the story, The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat and sequenced the events in the story.
Here's a picture of us having fun with the alphabet mats and matching games.
